Levuka Public Primary School was established in 1879, at Levuka Town.
Since opening, the school has expanded, and we now have over 395 enrolments!
The school started with a roll of 58 students. Before the school was under the umbrella leadership for the seconday & Primary and it was called Levuka Public School. The first Public School in Fiji. In 1973 Mr George Gibson was the first local Head Teacher for Primary and the school was run by the government. Classes were from Years 1-6. On the 19th of December 1997 the school was given back by the government to be run by the school management committee. On the 29th of November 2005 the school was granted approval to conduct classes for years 7 & 8. The school is one of the largest medium school in the eastern division.
